Being a mom is no easy job. In fact, it’s probably one of the hardest jobs in the world. For one, moms are not only there to feed their children – they are there throughout the whole process of raising a child, which includes nurturing them as individuals. Plus, it requires time and patience to raise a child. Yes, it’s safe to say that raising a child can be a big challenge. So, if you fulfill your duties as a parent like a pro on top of your duties at work, then you sure are a hero!
Some parents opt to set a few years apart before welcoming another child into their lives, allowing them to pour their energy while raising a child at a given period. This also gives parents ample time to save up money and prepare for the future of their children – including the one if ever they wish to give birth to another one.
But there are also moms who want to get pregnant immediately after they give birth to a child because why not? As long as they can juggle their time between their mommy duties, like making sure they are well-fed and well-rested while fulfilling duties at work, then there’s no problem at all.
But why does it seem like some people think it’s mad to get pregnant after giving birth months prior? Some people can get that judgment from other people – just like Grace Bruce, who got pregnant three months after giving birth to her first child.
While people have been judging her and calling her mad, the mom of two said she wouldn’t change a thing about being a mom of two.
Bruce has been sharing videos of her two little kids on TikTok, where she currently has more than 37,000 followers. She regularly posts on the video-sharing platform, giving her followers a glimpse into her life as a mom to her two adorable kids.
Describing herself as not simply an ordinary mum but an “Irish mum,” Bruce seemed unbothered about what other people were saying, which included her supposedly being “crazy” for choosing to get pregnant right after giving birth to her first child. While she has a lot on her plate, she couldn’t be any happier to see her two kids – whom she described as best friends – enjoying the company of each other.
“I don’t have normal twins. I have Irish twins. They are under a year apart. People think I’m crazy for falling pregnant 3 months after giving birth, but they are the best of friends. My hands are full, but my heart is fuller,” she said.
She gave birth to her firstborn in 2020, and she welcomed her second child in 2021.
Despite getting comments about how “mad” she supposedly is, it seems Bruce isn’t the only one enjoying being a mom of two kids who are only months apart from each other as she found a company in some of them on TikTok.
“Same! I gave birth in September 21 & August 22. The tiredness is real but so is the love,” one user said.
“I have the exact same, best thing I ever did,” another mom said.
“Same here, my girls are just under a year apart! Their bond is amazing! At times it’s hard but worth it! Keep going girl,” another mom remarked.
