An 8-year-old boy took it upon himself to care for his sick mother. Now, he is already 24 years old, how has his life turned out?

15 years ago, this story spread throughout all Russian and foreign media outlets. Vladik, an ordinary schoolboy from Dobryanka, at the age of 8, independently managed the household and took care of his semi-paralyzed mother. People around the world were amazed; some admired him, while others wondered how it was possible.

The fate of this family was very difficult. The boy’s father drank heavily, and his mother left him. With a small child, she settled in a small village house, and they had nowhere else to go.

It was tough, and there was little money, but they had enough for food for the two of them. When Vlad was 8 years old, tragedy struck – his mother had a stroke that left her partially paralyzed.

At the time, his father had already passed away. And the young schoolboy was left alone to deal with this misfortune. His nearest prospect was the orphanage. But Vlad was not one to give in to fate; he would not abandon his mother. Like a true man, he began to do everything he could to get her back on her feet. On the personal front, Vlad is doing well. He and Nastya have been together since school, they fell in love, and became a couple. In this way, he was no longer alone with his misfortune, and Nastya helped him take care of his sick mother.
